Another season passed, another fall had come, much like the one before, and the one before that. No one would notice the change, after all, so many folks wandered through this area each season.
The only difference now was that they were not there anymore, the two old sweethearts who sat on that bench each Sunday afternoon, spring, summer and fall.
Holding hands at times, having long conversations, laughing, or simply taking in the scenery and enjoying the quiet together.
